MAKE YOUR OWN LATTE AT HOME

Lattes are one of my favorite ways to enjoy coffee. Something about them is soothing and makes me feel fancy!
Here is an easy recipe that will give you a delicious latte at home that you can impress your friends with!
You will need

Coffee
Milk (heavy whipping cream is optimal. Whole milk will work but it's harder to get it to thicken.)
Honey, natural sugar or your version of sweetener
Butter (of course)

Instructions:

Make coffee as usual, pour into cup with about 1/4 of the cup empty for the milk foam. Add the butter (usually just a little bit, 1/2 tbsp to give it a rich flavor. Up to your discretion. Add the sweetener as you would usually to your coffee. I usually do about a tbsp of honey. (Try to get the coffee sweet enough before you add the milk so you don't mess up the pretty foam). Next, heat the milk until bubbly. You don't want to overcook or "scald" the milk, so stove top is optimal, though microwave can be used. (About 30 seconds, then check to see if it is bubbly). Once the milk is lightly bubbly and foamy, mix it with an electric mixer on high until the warm milk begins to thicken. Once it reaches your desired thickness, dollop it on top of your coffee. Leave the milk a little runny so milk can flow down a little into your coffee. Mix slightly if desired. Drizzle caramel or sprinkle cinnamon on top of foam for added fanciness!

Enjoy!
